How to maintain the hydraulic hammer?

Answer:

To maintain your manufacturer's warranty there are several maintenance items that need to be followed.

1. Hydraulic hammers needs to be greased every 3 work hours. This will keep internal parts of the hydraulic hammer protected with grease and from damaging other internal parts.

2. Measure the distance between the spear body and lower sleeve. When the distance gets close to 10mm, bring it in for service to NEXGEN Attachments Inc. immediately for sleeve replacement. Failing to replace the sleeve on time will result in hydraulic hammer losing the striking force and spear to move on an angle causing damage to the spear and internal parts of the hammer.

3. The hydraulic hammer should be stored in vertical position - resting it’s weight on the spear. This will cause the piston inside the hydraulic hammer to be fully pressed in and submerged in grease, making sure it doesn’t develop surface rust. Rusted piston will wear the seals inside the hydraulic hammer out and have hydraulic hammer leak.

4. In case you notice hydraulic hammer leak, bring it in for service to NEXGEN Attachments Inc. immediately. Hydraulic hammer leak means the hammer does not operate at full efficiency.
